OnePiece Work Celebrates Shanghai Store Opening With A Night of Global Innovation
Since the opening of its very first office in San Jose in 2017, OnePiece Work has been operating nine modern spaces across Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Shenzhen, among other innovation hubs throughout China and the United States.
Now, we’re thrilled to finally operate a flagship store in Shanghai!
OnePiece Work hosted the "Innovation Night" opening party on the evening of December 6, 2019. Located at our newly opened Shanghai location in the heart of downtown Shanghai, it was a bright celebration of the company’s groundbreaking expansion. The design of the space reflects a modern yet evocative style, combining old Shanghai design inspiration with contemporary touches to create harmony between modern and retro ideas.
The Yangtze River Delta is one of the most active, open, and innovative economic regions in China. Regional integration in this area has become a national strategy, with Shanghai set to lead the region into a new era of high-quality economic development.
Our Shanghai flagship store is located in the newly developed core area of the city center. You can find it on the 7th floor of building 1 in Lingzhan Plaza. This prime location was strategically selected to house our center for its proximity to the River Delta. Here, we’re right in the middle of Shanghai’s booming economic growth and innovation.
Through the integration of global resources, early equity investment, and thoughtfully designed workspaces, OnePiece Work Shanghai is committed to linking the innovation of Silicon Valley to the vitality of Shanghai. In this effort, we aim to create a complete and collaborative platform for global innovators.
Approximately 260 guests participated in the Innovation Night opening party, flying to Shanghai from all over the world. Among the party’s guests were investors from front-line investment institutions, corporate leaders from large state-owned asset groups and large enterprise innovation centers, and executive and founding teams from prominent startups. Many international friends also flew to the venue from the United States, Australia, and Europe.
Vickey Li, our CEO and co-founder, made a riveting speech detailing the company’s mission, which is to build a close connection between community members. Wei Guo, Founding Partner of Uphonest Capital and co-founder of OnePiece Work, shared our cross-border innovation community for online and offline member integration, explaining the core services, resources, links and funds available to innovators. Other VIPs at the Innovation Night Party also took the stage and shared their industry insights including Erick Haskell, the president of Allbirds Global Business.
The Innovation Night reached a peak with three rounds of prize drawings. The prizes included an Allbirds + Fiets & Fiets “On the Road” package, tickets to the 2020 Burning Man festival, and the Silicon Valley Gift Pack. All of the goodies in the gift package represented star investment projects from OnePiece Work.
At OnePiece Work, we’re proud of the culture that we’ve cultivated. Our values encourage global innovation and collaboration while promoting the idea that top-quality products and services should be available to everyone.
In the future, our newly opened Shanghai location will offer cross-border venture capital insights and professional services by organizing an array of technology and innovation activities. We strive to provide an inclusive and diverse environment while offering vast resources for global citizens to create, collaborate, and thrive.
